2.3 电池容量与放电率的关系

　　蓄电池的容量是指它的蓄电能力。它是以充足了电的蓄电池，放电至规定的终止电压的电量。标准YD/T799-2002规定2V、6V、 12V密封蓄电池的额定容量均为标准温度下（25℃）10小时放电率（I=0.1C10A）的容量。该标准明确指出6V、12V蓄电池的容量以10h放电率为基准。但是老的行业惯例并且目前绝大部分厂家为:对于2V电池，是以10小时放电率（I=0.1C10A）来定义容量，而对于6V和12V电池，则以20小时放电率（I=0.05C20A）的容量。

　　放电率与容量的关系:蓄电池放出的容量随放电电流的增大而减少。高放电过程是极板表面的有效物质发生强制性的变化，生成的硫酸铅很容易堵塞极板上的小孔，极板深层的有效物质就没有参加化学反应。这样蓄电池的内阻增大，电压下降就快，使电池不能放出全部的容量。
